I’m a graphic designer living in Sydney Australia. I value my work on its consistency and my three-step approach to design, appreciate, collaborate and create.
From late September to mid-October 2024, I worked with voice actor Eric Kelso on “EricMania,” a 100-print series of his characters simplified into my style. It was my fourth professional commission and gave me solid experience adapting character poses and handling client-specific requests.
In early August, voice actor Chris Okawa hired me to create an original piece for his Steamily page tied to his role in Code Geass, giving me full creative freedom to design a pose fans would want signed. Having worked with him before, the commission was fast, clear, and collaborative, thanks to his flexibility with time zones and openness to my creative input.
For my final year of Uni for my Work Integrated Learning unit I participated in a mixed collaboration / internship with the University of Notre Dame Australia. In particular their IEO, Indigenous Education Office.
The University of Notre Dame presented a brief looking to integrate Indigenous culture into their existing campus environment. Through one-on-one conversation with the client, heavy consideration and limitations had to be put on the project, due to the potential for cultural appropriation, and negative integration.
After a significant amount of trial and error, the final idea was to incorporate the Kurrajong tree, a significant tree in Indigenous culture, into a pattern-based solution.
For my University Major Work, I chose to make a usable font out of real clay. The clay would be scanned online, then transferred into a usable font.
Although by the end of the project, it was unrealistic to fully transfer it into a usable font, type samples and usages were completed to emulate what it would look like.
Additionally, a document was put together, showcasing its development, and how one would approach its spacing during use.
